Our Dedication to Carbon Reduction via SBTi

We are thrilled to share a key milestone in our sustainability journey. Triumph Group is officially committing to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)—a globally recognized framework designed to align businesses with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) is a collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI) and the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).

The SBTi defines and promotes best practice in science-based target setting and independently assesses companies’ targets.

This pivotal step reinforces our dedication to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and creating a lasting, positive impact on the planet. By embedding science-based goals into our operations, we are shaping a future that is not only sustainable but also empowering for communities and employees alike.

What’s Next?

Our path within the SBTi framework will follow five critical steps to set and validate our targets. These steps guide us in transforming aspirations into tangible outcomes:

  1. COMMIT: Formalize our pledge to adopt science-based targets. (Completed)
  2. DEVELOP: Define reduction targets tailored to our operations and vision. (2025)
  3. SUBMIT: Submit our near-term targets to SBTi for review and validation. (2025)
  4. COMMUNICATE: Actively share updates and progress, fostering collective pride and engagement. (2026)
  5. DISCLOSE: Transparently report relevant emissions data to track our progress. (2026)

By the end of 2025, our goal is to submit ambitious near-term targets for validation and approval (Steps 2 and 3). This timeline not only holds us accountable but also ensures we remain at the forefront of innovation and commitment to sustainability.

Why This Matters to All of Us

Together, we are part of a team that prioritizes meaningful change. This commitment resonates with Triumph’s values of innovation, inclusivity, and global responsibility.
